American Academy of Pediatrics Releases Android App, Relaunches eBookstore

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has launched a new Android app that is designed as a portal for reading eBooks published within its eBookstore.

The new AAP eBooks app has access to more than 100 digital books from the AAP eBook store. The eBooks are written for both medical professionals and parents and include titles on everything from breast feeding to pediatric orthopaedics and sport injuries. The AAP already has iOS apps.

“This new app for Android devices is the next step in our strategy of making sure that our members have convenient access to our entire eBook collection from any mobile device,” explained Linda Atteo, digital content and licensing coordinator for AAP, in a statement.

As part of the launch, AAP worked with its mobile provider Impelsys to update its eBookstore.
