Amazon Opens Kindle Store In India

Amazon has expanded its Kindle business and opened up shop in India. Kindle India launches with more than a million titles priced in Indian Rupees. The India Kindle Store features titles from around the world including various works from Indian authors, including Chetan Bhagat, Ashwin Sanghi, Ravinder Singh and Amish Tripathi.

Amazon is selling the devices through its e-commerce store and through the Indian retailer Croma.

Ajit Joshi, CEO/managing director of Croma, stated, “We are excited to be the first retailer in India to offer the latest generation Kindle to our customers.
