Amazon now renting Kindle Textbooks
Today Amazon announced that it was going after its last textbook competitors: the rental companies (Vitalsource, Chegg and others). College students can now rent Kindle textbooks from Amazon for any length of time between any length of time between 30 days and a year.
The Kindle Textbook Rental offers students discounts of up to 80% off the retail price of textbooks that you can read on any Kindle app. They can be read across the most popular devices with free Kindle apps for PC, Mac, iOS, BlackBerry, and Android.
