All App Submissions Must Be iOS 7 Optimized by February 1st

Apple is aggressively pushing for iOS 7 adoption, this time, by requiring developers to optimized apps for iOS 7 as early as February 1.

Starting February 1, new apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with the latest version of Xcode 5 and must be optimized for iOS 7. Learn more about preparing your apps by reviewing the iOS Human Interface Guidelines.

While the new requirement does mention visual guidelines, apps must also be built using Apple’s new Xcode 5, which could mean a lot more work than tweaking fonts or lines. However, since this only applies to up apps and app updates, existing apps have longer to make the transition.
