Aaron Gell to Head Digital Operations at The New York Observer

The New York Observer finally replaced digital managing editor Tyler Thoreson after his rather short stint, joining the newspaper in February and leaving in May.

CORRECTION ADDED AT 2:25 p.m. ET:Sister blog FishbowlNY reports that Aaron Gell has deplaned from his role as editor-in-chief of Hemispheres, United Airlines’ in-flight magazine, to head online operations at the Observer. CORRECTION: Gell’s title is actually managing editor of online, and Harleen Kahlon is the Observer‘s general manager of online operations.
