EA Mobile has launched a whimsical Easter update in The Simpsons: Tapped Out, bringing a series of quests to players and challenging them to learn just how the Easter Bunny became associated with laying eggs. What’s more, the bunnies in Springfield aren’t the nicest creatures around, so players must grab a bunny stunner to make it through this event in one piece.

During this limited time event, players will help Lisa discover the origin of the Easter Bunny’s egg-laying. Throughout it all, they’ll meet new characters, including the Crazy Cat Lady and Father Sean, who wants to make Catholicism cool in Springfield. Players can also build the Banana Dictatorship and Johnny Fiestas buildings.

This event’s largest element, however, sees rabbits being unleashed on the streets of Springfield. Players can tap on these bunnies to collect Easter eggs. Similar to the game’s other holiday events, like its Christmas and Valentine’s Day celebrations, players can collect these eggs in bulk, and trade them in for prizes hidden inside Easter Boxes.

While players can complete this event without spending money, they can also spend Donuts (the game’s premium currency), to unlock items instantly.

The Simpsons: Tapped Out is available to download for free on iOS, Google Play and the Amazon App Store. Check back soon for more news on the game’s updates, or to follow the game on AppData, our tracking platform for mobile and social apps and developers.
