A Brief History of Geolocation: INFOGRAPHIC

Float Mobile Learning has created an infographic called, “A Brief History of Geolocation,” which explores the history location tracking from the ancient Greeks, through the Cold War and into the modern era of consumer GPS devices.

According to the graphic, the first handheld GPS device was introduced in 1989 and by 1999 the first commercial GPS phone was on the market.
