4G Data Is Now Rolling Out Faster

The pace of 4G data service roll-outs is about to pick up now that Verizon has announced that they will be turning on their 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) data service in 38 metropolitan areas by the end of this year. The service will also be enabled for 60 major airports. Verizon says that they expect to be able to provide customers with 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) download speeds and 2 to 5 Mbps upload speeds, which is significantly faster than current 3G speeds.
