42% Of The World's Internet Users Don't Live Where You Think They Do

You may think you've seen everything the Web has to offer, but you haven't seen anywhere close to half of it.

When I give my Social Media Is Bullshit presentations, I always start out with a few facts:

1. 8 out of 10 Facebook users are not based here in America.

2. Over 262 million Americans don’t use Twitter. (See: Twitter’s recent S-1 Filing)

3. 70% of YouTube views come from outside of the United States. (That last one comes right from Youtube’s official press page.)

Today, courtesy of the Oxford Internet Institute, I have a few more numbers to throw your way.
