Online privacy is the wild, wild West of social networking today, and Google wants to bring a new sheriff to town: you.

The Internet search giant announced on Monday it will begin paying cash to anyone who can find security vulnerabilities in Google products like Google Docs, Gmail, YouTube, Blogger and Orkut.

The “bounty bug” program is geared to uncover “any serious bug which directly affects the confidentiality or integrity of user data,” members of Google’s security team said.
