When the girl, Tessa, created the event on Facebook she made the mistake of listing her private party as a public event. According to an Al Jazeera report, within hours of the event being posted over 15,000 people had already RSVP’d “attending.” Despite the fact that a cancellation notice was sent out, over 1,400 people still showed up, although Tessa was nowhere to be found.
