10 Years In Social Media [INFOGRAPHIC]

What’s your first memory of social media? Can you think back a decade ago and remember which platforms you were using and what you were saying?

Facebook celebrated its 10th birthday last month and in those 10 years we’ve seen other social networks (Twitter, LinkedIn) go from strength to strength, while a few (Myspace being the primary example) have fallen by the wayside. Facebook still dominates, but has faced pressure from more feature-specific apps, such Instagram and WhatsApp – both of which it purchased – and it’s anybody’s guess which platforms will be in charge and how we’ll be using them come 2024.
