After days and days of nonstop News Corp. phone hacking coverage, it appears we’ve hit a lull. Which is, of course, a good thing for the Murdochs and their PR teams, who can probably use the time to take a nap, catch up with friends and family, and get a handle on the situation.
The Wall Street Journal is also using this time to take a closer look at the damage to its reputation, handing out a survey to readers that asks what they’ve heard about the situation. How sad would it be if a WSJ reader says they’ve heard nothing about this?
One question that we find interesting for crisis comms in general: Respondents are asked, on a scale of one to 10, how responsible the chief exec of a company is for wrongdoing at their company, and whether the size of the company makes a difference.
