WPP Acquires Blue State Digital

WPP has acquired full-service digital agency Blue State Digital. Blue State Digital specializes in “advocacy, membership and fundraising campaigns for nonprofits, educational and cultural institutions, political campaigns and corporate brands,” according to the press release. The firm was founded in 2004 and has 130 employees in Washington D.C., London, New York, Los Angeles, and Boston.

BSD worked on the “Obama for America” online campaign during his 2008 presidential run. ClickZ reports that the firm continues to work with “Organizing for America,” the current iteration of the “Obama for America” campaign.
