Wikipedia Reveals Which Pages Were Edited Most in 2014

Following Facebook and YouTube, Wikipedia is the latest major web property to weigh in on 2014, the year that was. Their approach, however, is even more relevant to PR and assorted sockpuppets: which pages received the most edits over the past year?

That was a great rundown of the year in Things, wasn’t it?

Some interesting facts on the video project via VentureBeat:

  • “Deaths in 2014” received the most edits by far, which makes perfect sense
  • “Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370” was runner-up, which also makes sense (ICYMI, that company turned to Ketchum at the height of its crisis)

Wikimedia also notes that three million pages were created this year with more than 100 million edits across the site.
