Tiger Woods will speak publicly this Friday for the first time since a car accident outside of his Florida home on November 27th, 2009, and subsequent rumors of marriage troubles and affairs.
Bloomberg received a statement from his agent, Mark Steinberg, and his spokesman, Glenn Greenspan.
The statement reads in part:
Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at 11:00am EST Friday at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future and he plans to apologize for his behavior.
It also indicated media will be present at the event, although Woods will take no questions. Note to PR pros: if you have bad news to release, Friday is the day to do it! More to come…
