Telemundo promoted Michelle Alban to vice president, corporate communications and public affairs today. She will lead the company’s domestic business and trade media strategy and execution, internal communications, executive communications, and will oversee public affairs efforts. Alban will continue to report to SVP, Communications and Talent Development Alfredo Richard.
Alban joined the Spanish-language network in 2003 to lead primary research. She was previously at Nielsen Media Research for seven years and was involved in the creation of the A/P Meter system.
Among many other accomplishments, she served in the U.S. Air Force as a NATO Instructor, and was a mass disaster coordinator for the Red Cross during the Oklahoma City Bombing Crisis.
Telemundo, part of NBC Universal, reaches 93% of U.S. Hispanic households in 142 markets via TV, cable, and satellite broadcast.
