Study: Americans Can't Get Enough Media

Research conducted by Arbitron and Edison Research has found that Americans “are spending one hour and 21 minutes more time per day with media than in 2001,” Adweek reports. Causes include more home computers (51 percent of people have two versus 24 percent in 2002), smartphone use (31 percent of Americans say they have one), and online radio, which has doubled in usage over the past five years.

The study was conducted via telephone survey of 2,020 people. You
