Weber Shandwick has appointed Bradford Williams chair of its Global Technology practice. In his new role, Williams will oversee the practice across regions, including strategic client counsel. He previously served as president of the Technology practice’s North America region. Williams first joined the firm in 2012, and during his time there has also served as acting general manager of the agency's San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices in 2013 and 2014. (Release) DeVries Global has hired Loretta Markevics as the agency's executive vice president, Global Creative Intelligence. In this role, Loretta will further build the agency’s capability across planning, creative, and research and analytics. She joins DeVries Global from Porter Novelli, where she served as EVP, global director of Strategic Planning. Markevics will be based in the agency’s New York office. (Release) Hotwire has announced that its group CEO, Brendon Craigie, will relocate to New York to drive further growth across the US market. Craigie will be working closely with recently promoted SVP and general manager in New York City, Rebecca Honeyman, and David Bailey, who has joined as Hotwire’s EVP and general manager in San Francisco. In another, Alex MacLaverty has also been promoted to group MD, Europe. (Release) ICR has brought on veteran business journalist Edmond Lococo as senior vice president. Mr. Lococo will be based in the agency's Beijing office and will play a key role in the development of ICR’s communications offerings for Asia-based public and privately-held clientele. For two decades, Mr. Lococo covered the world’s largest companies in technology, telecommunications, aerospace and defense as a financial journalist in China and the U.S. Prior to joining ICR, Mr. Lococo was at Bloomberg News for 15 years, including two postings as a foreign correspondent in Beijing. (Release) Global Strategy Group announced the addition of Dana Yeganian to its staff in the role of senior vice president. Yeganian joins GSG from Capstrat, part of the Ketchum/Omnicom network; she formerly worked in the press and policy office of former North Carolina Governor Jim Hunt. (Release)
