Veteran sales and marketing executive Peggy Schecter has joined Penton as strategic sales director, a new position created to develop multi-platform marketing programs targeting small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB). Schecter brings more than 20 years of experience in media and business information management and sales to the position, with specific expertise developing business and custom integrated marketing solutions for leading technology companies. She most recently served as advertising sales manager, east, for Synacor Portal Group, a leading multi-platform multimedia technology company.
