Roll Call: MWW Group, NatGeo, Weber Shandwick, and more

David Herrick (left) has been promoted to COO at MWW Group, working with the firm's senior leadership team to manage the firm's culture, client service offerings, and overall growth. He'll also continue as the GM of the New York office, a position he's held since joining the firm in 2010. Jennifer DeGuzman, previously the senior director of consumer PR at AOL, has joined National Geographic as VP of comms. While at AOL, she also worked on strategy for, among other things, the AOL/HuffPo lifestyle sites. DeGuzman has also previously worked for Bravo, also as comms VP, and MTV, where she spent 13 years. NatGeo has also promoted Dara Klatt to senior corp comms director. And Erin Griffin has been promoted to associate director of comms and talent relations. [via] Neil Nowlin has been named GM of Weber Shandwick's Southwest region, which includes Dallas, Austin, and Houston. The firm has also appointed Dawn Kahle deputy GM for that region, supporting Nowlin. Both execs have been with the firm for 10 years. Dave Nieland has been named Southwest technology head after serving as the interim GM for the Dallas office. Ryan Mikolasik has been promoted to EVP and client relationship manager for the American Airlines client, business he's worked on for eight years. And Chris Vary has been promoted to EVP of digital program innovation. Vail, CO.-based experiential firm Highline has acquired Tadpole Event Marketing and Consulting, based in Venice, CA. Work will be done under the Highline name. Highline has worked with clients including Gatorade, Veuve-Cliquot, and Men's Journal. Jim Stotz has joined the Halo Group as VP of finance and operations, managing the accounting, HR, and operations functions. He was previously the global financial comptroller for the humanitarian organization Action Against Hunger, ACF-USA. SpotlightAR, an analyst relations firm out of Kansas City, MO., has partnered with AREA203 Digital, a digital advertising firm based in Chattanooga, TN.
