Peppercomm promoted Maggie O’Neill to the role of managing director. O'Neill, a partner who has been with the firm for 13 years, joined as an account supervisor; she currently O’Neill leads the firm’s consumer business portfolio and established the firm’s experiential offerings including sponsorship activation, corporate meetings, product launches and consumer events. Her account wins include MINI Cooper, TGI Fridays and Whirlpool, and she has won accolades including PR News People Awards; over the past year alone, she won a PRSA Silver Anvil, PR News Agency Elite and BizBash Event Style Award. She also played a key role in the firm's acquisition of Janine Gordon Associates (JGA) and she oversaw the integration and development of lifestyle/nonprofit/consumer specialist team JGAPeppercomm. (Release) Ketchum appointed Lori Beecher, a TV producer with a career spanning Today, 60 Minutes and, most recently, the syndicated talk show Katie as executive vice president of media and content strategy, based in the firm’s New York headquarters. Beecher assumes the newly created role immediately. Beecher will counsel some of the firm’s largest clients in North America on content-centric media strategy and executive visibility. She also will provide senior-level guidance for the development and management of highly visual content for brand and corporate storytelling. Beecher has been responsible for securing and producing some news interviews including Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Sandra Day O'Connor, baseball phenom Alex Rodriguez, former presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, President Bill Clinton, Sen. John and Elizabeth Edwards. (Release) Gibbs & Soell, Inc. has named Kiersten Williams as vice president to oversee client work and increase new business from within the clean energy and financial services sectors. On track to meet its forecast for a third consecutive year of record-setting revenue, Gibbs & Soell has seen rapid gains in business from clients in several areas, most notably clean technology, biofuels and renewable energy financing and development. Through her more than 20-year career, Williams has provided strategic direction on public relations and marketing programs for leading and fast-rising companies operating in environmental, renewables, clean technology and financial services industries. Her work has spanned wastewater treatment to sustainable infrastructure including power, water, agriculture, transportation, telecommunications and waste management. Prior to joining Gibbs & Soell, Williams was principal owner of Williams Consulting PR, LLC, and had worked earlier at New York-based agencies Makovsky & Company, Spring O’Brien and TriMedia. Based in Raleigh, N.C., Williams will tap into the geographic region’s significant energy and manufacturing business network. (Release) DKC Public Relations, Marketing & Government Affairs announced the appointment of Ella Robinson as senior vice president in the agency’s Entertainment group. Based out of DKC’s New York City office, Ella, a veteran of Warner Bros. and DreamWorks, Ella will work across DKC's entire entertainment portfolio including music, television, stage and digital content. Prior to joining Relativity Media, Ella was director of national publicity for Overture Films, a division of Liberty Media, where she built up the New York office for the newly formed studio. Previously, she worked at Warner Bros. Pictures, where she handled publicity for numerous high profile films as well as DreamWorks, SKG/DreamWorks Animation, SKG. (Release)
