Horn Group, Inc. has promoted Debra Raine to partner. In her new role, Debra will continue to lead the firm’s west coast business and plans to expand its international operations. Debra joined Horn Group in 2014 and has led the digital communications programs for emerging and established technology brands. Before joining Horn Group, Raine was Principal and co-founder of BondPR Worldwide, and she has also held executive roles at global agencies like Waggener Edstrom, Weber Shandwick, Porter Novelli, and Ogilvy PR. (Release) MWW Public Relations announced that Bob Knott has joined the firm as senior managing director for market leadership and issues management. Knott previously served for three years at FTI Consulting in the firm's the corporate communications practice. Based in MWW's Washington, D.C., office, he will focus on Issues Management, CSR and sustainability work, business-to-business and business-to-government communications, and financial communications. (Release) Edelman has ended its search for a new head of its global corporate practice, hiring former Hilton Worldwide communications head Kathryn Beiser to take on the role. The position had been vacant since Ben Boyd was promoted to lead Edelman's global practices last August. Beiser comes to Edelman from Hilton, where she was EVP of corporate communications. Beiser, based in Washington DC is responsible for leading Edelman’s global network of corporate communications consultants, overseeing client-focused innovation and driving thought leadership. Based in six offices across Europe, Asia and the United States, the new partners include: Alastair Morton, Blaise Projects London; Brian Buckley, London; Charlie Potter, London; Erik Hotmire, Washington, D.C.; Ginny Wilmerding, Hong Kong; Giovanna Falbo, New York; Jeff Sindone at MerchantCantos, New York; Justin Dini, New York; Linus Turner, Brussels; Monika Driscoll, New York; Patrick Eastwood at MerchantCantos, Hong Kong; Stuart Hudson, London; Tim May at MerchantCantos, London; and Will Carnwath, Singapore. (Release) The CHR Group appointed Jonathan Zaback president of its newly-created Communications and Brand Marketing Division. This division will house the current and future acquired assets in the areas of public relations, public affairs, media and crisis training, brand marketing, content marketing, multi-cultural, social media and market research. As Zaback takes on his new role, he will also maintain his current responsibilities as CHR’s Chief Strategy Officer and Partner at the holding company level. (Bulldog Reporter) Kip Hunter Marketing has also expanded its public relations department by hiring Michelle Rodrigues Hawthorn as Director of Public Relations and Melissa Sweredoski as Public Relations Manager. In her new role, Hawthorn will specialize in the development and implementation of public relations campaigns and initiatives. Prior to joining Kip Hunter Marketing, she served as a Senior Account Executive at Tilson PR. As PR Manager, Sweredoski will specialize in drafting press releases, managing press archives, research and development of client projects, email marketing, client communications and social media management. She previously worked for Trone Brand Energy (Release) Moroch has hired Cody Bailey as director of digital and social strategy. In this role, Bailey will manage and lead the strategy for all digital platforms across the agency’s network of over 30 North American offices. Most recently, Bailey served as Sr. VP at ShareRocket, a social media ratings company. Previously, he served as director of Innovation and Product Development for 16 years at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. (Release) Chris Hassall has joined APCO Worldwide as a member of the firm's International Advisory Council. Hassall most recently served as the global external relations officer at P&G, where he began working in 1983. During his tenure there, he has also served in P&G’s Guangzhou office, where he was responsible for external relations for Asia and Greater China, and at P&G’s Geneva office, leading external relations in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
