Esmeralda Diaz Cameron, acting communications director for Mayor Cory Booker of Newark, NJ, has given her two weeks notice. She is reportedly leaving the Brick City for a job with a Fortune 30 company. She has said of the move: “The past four years have been a rewarding experience and I am proud to have been part of the historic achievements that are part of the city’s urban transformation under Mayor Booker’s leadership.”

Natalia Schultz has been named executive vice president, chief talent officer of the Americas, at Saatchi & Saatchi. She had been executive vice president, chief talent and development officer, at Grey. (AgencySpy)

Elisabeth Murdoch is stepping down as CEO of Shine Group, and is naming Alex Mahon, the company’s current chief operating officer, as her successor. Mahon will assume the role of chief executive with responsibility for the day-to-day management of Shine Group’s 28 operating companies in September. Murdoch will remain chairman. According to AdWeek, Murdoch made the change because she believes the growth of the company “requires the chairman and CEO roles to be distinct and separate.”

MWW has announced that Shelley O’Connor has joined the firm as vice president, consumer lifestyle marketing. O’Connor’s expertise spans lifestyle marketing, entertainment, and multicultural communications. Drawing from her experience in the food and beverage segment and her leadership of campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, she will play a key role in managing strategy and initiatives for some of MWW’s flagship consumer marketing clients.

Loews Corporation announced the appointment of Mary Skafidas as Vice President, Investor and Public Relations. Ms. Skafidas will be responsible for the investor, media, corporate marketing, and communications activities of Loews. She first joined Loews in January 2012 as the head of investor relations.
