Research: @speakerpelosi Is Congress' Most Influential on Twitter
HP has measured the “100 Top Influencers in Congress” and determined that @speakerpelosi (Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-CA), @reppaulryan (Rep. Paul Ryan, R-WI), and @michelebachmann (Rep. Michele Bachmann , R-MN) top the list. HP Labs used an algorithm to determine influence, which is not entirely dependent on the number of followers; both Ryan and Bachhmann have more than Pelosi.
“In short, influential users are those that are best at inspiring their followers overcome their predisposition to remain passive,” reads the research release.
