PR Agency M&A Up in Q3 2009

There were two PR agency merger and acquisition deals worth $9 million in Q3 2009, as reported in investment bank Petsky Prunier’s “Advertising and Promotion M&A Overview.” This is an increase as there were no acquisitions in Q1 or Q2.

In the overall “Advertising and Promotion” segment of the report there were six transactions worth $43 million announced in Q3 09. The number of transactions doubled from Q3 to Q2; however, “aggregate transaction value declined 39 percent.”
