And the fact that the company was, at first, so flip with their response is ridiculous. Maybe they thought because she's not so popular at the moment (so many memes and tweets), they could get away with being jerks. @iggyazalea #We should have known better. On the Papa John's Twitter feed, there are a number of complaints -- about cold pizzas and delivery issues, for instance -- that are treated with respect. Customers receive apologies and are assured that things will be made right. That they wouldn't treat Iggy Azalea, a celebrity with millions of followers and a willingness to blast her grievance to them, with the same level of service was a big mistake. The response from Papa John's doesn't say anything about Iggy Azalea, but it says a lot about Papa John's. Questioned now, the pizza company told The Hollywood Reporter: "Papa John's has taken appropriate disciplinary action with regard to the employee involved. We are reaching out directly to Ms. Azalea and hope to resolve this incident and make it right." That should have been the approach from the beginning.
