Omnicom Group (NYSE:OMC) announced its third quarter results today, reporting a 5.1 percent increase in PR revenue for the quarter, a total of nearly $280 million. Year-to-date, the company’s PR arm has generated $846.7 million in revenue, a 6.1 percent increase.
Omnicom firms include Ketchum, Fleishman-Hillard, and Porter Novelli.
Omnicom revenue for the quarter totaled nearly $3 billion for all areas, a year-over-year increase of 5.5 percent. U.S. revenue for the third quarter increase 8.4 percent to nearly $1.62 billion from about $1.49 billion in 2009. The company also experienced growth in operating income for the quarter (6.5 percent to $314.1 million) and net income for Q3 (5.4 percent to $174.6 million)
The organization announced an acquisition in the third quarter: Omincom Media Group Middle East and North Africa. The company had been operating as an affiliate of the BBDO and TBWA networks since 2002.
