Meanwhile, this exists.

Today, the NY Times’ Alessandra Stanley analyzed the TV interview compulsion, citing Charlie Sheen, Libyan dictator Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, John Edwards, and others who use the platform as a “a One Step program to persuade themselves of their own powers of persuasion.”
