Kelly Cutrone Bashes Village Voice Over Book Event Coverage

Unfortunately PRNewser didn’t have time to stop by fashion PR guru Kelly Cutrone’s book event at New York’s Bryant Park yesterday. However, it seems most of the fireworks started shooting after the event, as Cutrone displayed her aggressive media relations tactics in response to a less than flattering review from the Village Voice.

Voice reporter Leslie Minora wrote that Cutrone spoke to a group of “well-dressed, mostly insecure young women,” and mocked her overall presentation.

We have to admit that we’re a bit surprised that someone with Cutrone’s experience “took the bait” on this one, although one could also argue that Cutrone doesn’t really care if she gives the writer more attention by calling her out.

In any case, a Bryant Park employee jumped to Cutrone’s defense in the comments of the Voice post, explaining that she, “signed every book with a personal note, and spoke with each person.”
