Jack Link's Beef Jerky Campaign Is Kinda Cool

Today in Strange Ad Ideas That Turn Out to Be Surprisingly Cool: Beef jerky makers Jack Link’s have capitalized on the nation’s political fervor with a new pun-filled campaign starring “Barack Obameat” and “Meat Romney,” two candidates represented by mosaics made entirely of beef jerky bits.

You may think that these two “meathead” politicians are nothing but a couple of “jerks,” but you’ll quickly forget your partisan “beefs” while watching this short time-lapse making-of video (see, we can do it too!):

As art school veterans, we have to say we’re impressed by mosaic artist Jason Mecier‘s ability to distinguish between the surprisingly wide variety color tones that make up these pieces of dried meat–and his skill in recreating the candidates’ photos with stunning accuracy.
