Frank Rich on New Media and the Upcoming Presidential Election

ICYMI: We’ve posted part three of our three-part interview with New York magazine columnist Frank Rich, in which he talks about the intersection between culture and politics, new media and the upcoming Presidential election, and the dangers of the “meaningless gaffe.” According to Rich, the influence of a ubiquitous pop culture on the voting population is tremendous.

“To watch them [President Obama and Mitt Romney] grapple with, on one hand, the changes in the news media, and on one hand, The Voice, American Idol, and SNL, it’s fascinating,” he says.
