Florida Governor: BP Should Pay Us $35 Million for Marketing Campaign

First it was a prominent Florida tourism executive asking BP for marketing money. Now it’s the state’s governor.

Florida governor Charlie Crist, “says the state needs to spend nearly $35 million on an emergency advertising blitz to calm tourists worried that Florida beaches might become fouled by the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico,” reports the St. Petersburg Times.

BP has already pledged $25 million in aide to Florida, which could be used for marketing.
