FleishmanHillard, Beekeeper Group Among Those Who Take Top Prizes at the PRWeek Awards
Edie Windsor, FleishmanHillard and Beekeeper Group were among the big winners at last night's PRWeek Awards.
In a packed ballroom at the Grand Hyatt above New York’s Grand Central Station, PRWeek handed out its annual awards to firms including Ketchum, FleishmanHillard and Beekeeper Group.
Starting with a video that repeatedly reminded us that we were at the “Oscars for the PR industry,” the event launched into perhaps its most poignant award. Communicator of the Year was given to Edie Windsor, whose courage and tenacity led to the overturning of the Defense of Marriage Act.
