Edelman Acquires Vollmer
Edelman has acquired Vollmer Public Relations, “the largest independent PR firm based in the Southwest,” according to the press release. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Vollmer’s Austin, Dallas, and New York operations will be merged with Edelman. The firm will also establish a Houston hub, Edelman Southwest, which will serve Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Kansas. There will be 50 pros working out of the office with $9 million in annual revenue for the Texas region.
Vollmer was founded by Helen Vollmer in 1981 with specialties including energy, issues management, and travel and hospitality.
