Donald Trump Wants to Sue Univision for Firing Him

Remember the gold that Donald Trump left on the lectern during his presidential candidacy announcement? "Spewing vitriol" would be an extreme understatement. One of the chief takeaways was his apparent disdain for Mexico and all of its people. This led Lupita Jones, director of Nuestra Belleza Mexico, to announce that Mexico may not be in the next Miss Universe pageant -- a Donald J. Trump production and property. Well, Lupita won't have to worry about making that decision. At least in her native land. That's because Univision did it for her, as the company has officially discontinued its commitment to air the beauty pageant scheduled for July 12. The statement: "At Univision, we see first-hand the work ethic, love for family, strong religious values and the important role Mexican immigrants and Mexican-Americans have had and will continue to have in building the future of our country. We will not be airing the Miss USA pageant on July 12th or working on any other projects tied to the Trump Organization." Remember what caused this rift: Trump accusing Mexico's people of "bringing drugs," "bringing crime," and calling them "rapists." Yet, he managed to complete his thought with "...and some, I assume, are good people." To wit, Trump tweeted: Mexican gov doesn't want me talking about terrible border situation & horrible trade deals. Forcing Univision to get me to stop- no way! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 25, 2015 Can SOMEONE lend this fool his or her consulting prowess? The Mexican government could care less about his views on border patrol and free trade, but that entire sexual assault thing is another story. Still clueless and starring in his own movie, Trump has no threatened a lawsuit of "hundreds of millions of dollars." “I’m going to have to sue Univision now because I speak negatively about trade with Mexico," he said. "Univision says you have to stop talking badly about Mexico... They have a signed contract." Like most companies without a positive public image, Trump may be sans PR but his legal team is on speed dial. This from Fox News Latino: Michael Cohen, one of Trump's lawyers, said he was in the process of hiring outside counsel to take legal action. "We intend to pursue all legal rights and remedies available to Mr. Trump pursuant to the terms of the license agreement as well as a defamation case against Univision," Cohen said. Defamation?!
