Discovery Communications Vet Steps In at Hallmark
Annie Howell has joined the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel as interim SVP of communications and media relations. The position is slated to last three months, but could extend for a longer period of time.
Previously, Howell was SVP of comms at Discovery Communications. She was with the company for 11 years. She also has agency experience with firms such as Powell Tate.
Howell fills the position vacated by Mark Kern, who left the company in the spring to join The Hub, the entertainment joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro.
