The Daily Beast brings together the six things most talked about things at this year’s event. Right up at the top of the list – “Digital + Business = Everything.”
“Both hallway talk and numerous formal sessions explored the likely transformation of industries of all sorts as they face an empowered consumer, mobile devices, and the availability of instantaneous data over the Internet,” the story reads. Well, better late than never.
A bit of an aside, but to my earlier point about forgetting Davos, The New York Times is offering Dealbook coverage of the Davos event and opened with a blog post titled “Why Executives Really Attend Davos.”
“It’s to conduct business,” the story says, after expressing a sense that something is going on that we don’t know about. The notable names turn up to conduct meetings and to be seen where their competitors are, the post proposes.
Update: Mashable posts the reaction from Davos to the Internet shut down in Egypt.
