CVS/Pharmacy and Weber Shandwick scored a big hit today when Al Roker got his flu shot live on “The Today Show,” in front of a giant CVS truck. Helena Foulkes, SVP Health Services at CVS Caremark appeared in the segment as well.

We spoke with Lynne Cavanaugh, a Director on the CVS account at Weber Shandwick, who said that the segment came about in part because, “with the flu season this year, more than ever it’s important for people to get protected and CVS is really going to market with strong messaging regarding the importance of getting a seasonal flu shot.”
