It would seem that a heroic effort is needed mend this wound. Enter Marvel Studios into the fray.
An exclusive report from The Wrap shows the comic empire has a strategic selection for the next additions to its film-making franchise. “Black Panther” is slated to hit the big screen November 2017, and Marvel has made it clear this movie will be directed by an African-American.
Moreover, as Marvel ushers in the first real black superhero (many don’t place Iron Man’s sidekicks War Machine and Falcon or even SHIELD’s Nick Fury in that category because they didn’t lead), a female heroine is coming with “Captain Marvel.”
