Apple Will Not Stand for the Yes Men's Shenanigans

Fresh off of their successful “We Agree” Chevron spoof campaign, the Yes Men tried to pull a switch-a-roo on Apple with a fake website for the “iPhone4CF”. The “CF” stands for “conflict-free;” the origins of this faux-iPhone’s innards avoids places like the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country known for committing atrocities in the pursuit of mineral wealth.

Well, Apple doesn’t play that. Mother Jones reports that Apple got wind of the spoof, and after an e-mail to the interweb, the site came down.
