In its latest set of personnel policies, Abercrombie & Fitch, notorious for its super sexy ads and equally attractive in-store associates, has decided to toss out its “body type” rules for hiring. And they’ll stop calling their salespeople “models” in favor of “brand representatives.”
The buff guys will still peel off their shirts in the cologne ads though.
A reboot is totally justified given the company’s diminished fortunes over the past few years. But some say the transformation doesn’t include an alternate brand identity, which could turn into a problem.
