BOSTON Connelly Partners has launched a Web site touting BiDiL, a drug used to treat heart failure in African Americans.
BiDil.com gives doctors and patients access to insurance information on a state-by-state, plan-by-plan basis, along with general guidance and resources.
Connelly designed the site to act as a "virtual sales force" for the drug, said Robert Guay, the shop's interactive director.
"There is a tremendous utility in our Web site to help doctors and patients
gain access to this important treatment for African Americans," said B.J. Jones, vp, marketing and business development at Lexington, Mass.-based NitroMed, the maker of the drug.
Video and on-demand teleconferencing features will eventually be added to the site's menu.
