NEW YORK The University of Pennsylvania Health System has awarded its advertising account to independent Philadelphia-based Red Tettemer following a review, the agency said. Estimated billings are $3-4 million.
The account had previously been handled by SFGT, which is also in Philadelphia.
The UPHS includes three hospitals (the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center); a faculty practice plan; a primary-care provider network; two multispecialty satellite facilities; and home healthcare and hospice.
New work from Red Tettemer is set to break in August and will include online and offline elements designed to bolster the brand as well as tout specific products and services, an agency representative said.
Red Tettemer was already on the UPenn roster, working for its nationally known Wharton School of business. Other agency clients include Time Warner Cable and Pennsylvania's Department of Community and Economic Development.
SFGT did not defend the UPHS business; other contenders in the review were not disclosed.
