NEW YORK Four agencies are vying for the creative portion of Miller Brewing's Hispanic advertising account, according to sources.
The review began about a month ago and the incumbent, The Bravo Group in New York, which has handled the account since 2004, is contending for the business along with Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Casanova Pendrill; CreativeOndemanD in Coral Gables, Fla.; and la comunidad of Miami.
The Milwaukee-based client is expected to choose a winner in June.
Sources said the media-buying portion of the account has already been retained by the incumbent, Chicago-based Tapestry.
According to TNS Media Intelligence, Miller Brewing parent company SAB Miller invested more than $35 million in Spanish-language media in 2005, 90 percent higher than its Hispanic media expenditure in 2004.
Client and agency executives either could not be reached or declined comment.
