ATLANTA Talent Zoo today opened an office in New York, the company's first location outside its headquarters in Atlanta.
The specialty employment firm said it is leasing space from DiMassimo Brand Advocates on East 23rd St. in Manhattan. The outpost is led by evp Amy Hoover, who has been in New York for the past several months organizing the effort.
Hoover said she expects to add several recruiters to the staff during the next month. Talent Zoo, which recruits professionals for advertising jobs nationwide and maintains a job board on its Web site, will keep its administrative functions in Atlanta, she said.
"Our new office positions us to more effectively service a region where many of our clients are concentrated," Hoover said. "I'd like to see the office be 25 percent or 30 percent of our overall business."
Talent Zoo plans to continue expanding and expects to open an office in London next year.
