BOSTON Pioneer Electronics has tapped Omnicom's Integer Group to handle an upcoming promotional effort.
Denver-based Integer Group won the business following a review that included Omnicom's Alcone Marketing and U.S. Marketing and Promotions, both in Los Angeles, and independent Amp in Irvine, Calif.
"We thought they presented the most comprehensive and thorough promotions plan along with very creative ideas," said Michael Townsen, vice president of marketing for the mobile entertainment division of Pioneer in Los Angeles.
The promotion touting Pioneer's new AVIC-N1, a navigation and mobile entertainment system, is expected to start in early summer, according to Townsen.
Spending on the upcoming effort was not disclosed. Last year Pioneer spent $15 million on advertising, per TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
