DMLT develops software for the private equity-investment industry. Heitner Weiss will launch the company's Limited Partnership Reporting System, a Web-based data-management program. The agency will also create a brand identity and an advertising and marketing program for the Investment Café.
Ziccardi Partners Frierson Mee created a print, outdoor and radio effort for Bravo network's new drama Breaking News. The print and outdoor work features an action shot of a reporter rushing to cover a news story. The Breaking News and Bravo logos both appear. ZPFM won Bravo's account about a year ago. Spending for the campaign was undisclosed; Bravo spent about $8 million on measured media in 2001, according to CMR. The print ad broke in national newspapers earlier this month; outdoor work launched in New York on phone kiosks and subway and train cars. The radio spot broke in mid-July.
Blass Communications was hired by 5points.net to create a branding strategy and marketing-communications plan. The East Chatham-based client provides software, design, consulting and Internet services. The Old Chatham-based marketing-communications company also has an office in Albany.
Telco Group tapped Cox Advertising, a New York-based marketing and brand-communications company, to create the first ad campaign for its STIPhoneCard.com subsidiary. Billings are estimated at $10 million. STIPhone Card.com is an e-commerce site for retail and wholesale phone-card transactions on the Internet. Cox's multilingual print campaign for STIPhone Card.com, which ran through mid-July, promoted an online contest that targeted multilingual U.S. residents whose first language is not English. The client is based in New York.
Saratoga Springs-based Palio Communications was hired by the New York State Academy of Family Physicians Foundation to create several Continuing Medical Education programs. The advertising and communications agency's medical-strategies group will work with the Loudonville-based foundation on three immunization-education programs for doctors in family practice in New York state. The project will include a Web-based component on the client's site, and tele conferencing and CD-ROM capabilities. NYSAFPF is a unit of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a national medical organization. Palio is a subsidiary of inChord Communications, a global group of communications companies.
MountainOne Financial Partners selected Media Logic to launch a branding and positioning campaign. The client is a North Adams, Mass.-based partnership of financial-services companies that provides banking, investment and insurance services. The Albany-based marketing- communications company provides strategic marketing, advertising, design, public relations and interactive services.
Sanna Mattson MacLeod is charged with creating a recruitment-advertising campaign for the Suffolk County Police Department, which is based in Yaphank. The effort is slated to break in September and will target minorities and women. It will include TV, print and radio ads, as well as bus posters and direct mail. Sanna Mattson MacLeod is a Smithtown-based advertising, marketing-communications and public relations agency. The shop also has an office in New York.
Bridgestone/Firestone signed an agreement with Sherwood Outdoor to place a sign at 2 Times Square in New York. The sign, which will face Broadway, is scheduled to go up by Nov. 1 and will replace a Nextel sign. Sherwood Outdoor owns and represents the signage space on 1 and 2 Times Square and 1600 Broadway.

The shop's New York and Chicago offices are handling the account. Gail Heimann and Cathy Calhoun, agency co-presidents of consumer marketing, are leading the Unilever business. Mansfield Communications opened a New York office, which will be run by managing partner Nancy Tamosaitis. The office launches with three clients: Lavalife, a provider of technology-based services for singles; Axxess Business Services, a nationwide network of small-business counseling centers; and Lorus Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company that specializes in pharmaceutical products and technologies for the management of cancer. Mansfield is a New York- and Toronto-based public relations agency.
Cogent Public Relations opened a satellite office in New York. The agency, which is based in Woburn, Mass., specializes in consumer-product publicity. The new office will be run by Colleen Jezersek, shop president. CogentPR also launched its Web site, www.cogentpr.com.
Gillespie was tapped to manage Golfweek's ongoing circulation-marketing business, as well as circulation projects for TV Guide and Forbes. Gillespie will promote Golfweek's Preferred Travel Club, a membership club for subscribers that offers discounts on golf destinations, and create campaigns for gaining and retaining subscribers. The shop, an allied agency of the Interpublic Group, provides advertising, public relations, direct and database-marketing, corporate-design, interactive and healthcare-marketing services.

Lipton's MedMedia division to handle advertising sales for its publication Primavera: Project Success = Business Success, a quarterly magazine for users of Primavera project-management software. K.I. Lipton is a Doylestown-based marketing-communications com pany. MedMedia acts as an advertising representative for various publications and handles magazine-publishing duties for a range of healthcare, pharmaceutical and high-technology companies.
