Leading Web Advertisers in New York, a Web ad tracking service, has named Carole Tracey director of the company's Canadian operation in Toronto. Previously, she was vice president, director of Canadian operations of IMS and LNA Canada.
Michelle Taylor has been named to the new position of senior vice president and general manager of Kiehl's Since 1851, a division of L'Oreal USA in New York. She is responsible for the direction and management of the Kiehl's brand worldwide and reports to Jami Morse Heidegger, Kiehl's president. Taylor most recently worked at Lancôme LLC, also a L'Oreal USA division, where she served as senior vice president, marketing, responsible for all aspects of marketing and product development for the Lancôme brand in the U.S.; she also headed the Lancôme.com Web site and supervised all national advertising.
ExtendMedia has appointed Patrick Donoghue executive vice president, de- velopment. Among his duties will be to expand business opportunities at the Toronto-based company's New York office. Donoghue most recently served as an independent broadband/enhanced TV consultant.
BSMG Worldwide in New York has hired Bradley Daves as creative director, a new position. He previously served as general manager of the Atlanta office of Weber Public Relations Worldwide.
Stuart Zakim has joined online entertainment company iCAST, a majority-owned operating company of CMGI, as vice president, public relations, and will be based at iCAST's New York office. He most recently worked as vice president, corporate promotion for Playboy Enterprises. In addition, Bill Golden was promoted to the new position of director, corporate communications; he previously served as public relations manager at Woburn, Mass.-based iCAST.
Robert Sullivan, a 20-year veteran of Time Inc. publications, has been appointed senior editor at TIME magazine. He joins TIME from LIFE, where he worked as assistant managing editor from 1993 until the summer of 2000. In addition, Maggie Kemsley has joined TIME's sales department as an account manager. She comes to TIME from SmartMoney magazine, where she worked in sales, managing accounts for clients such as British Airways, Citibank and Chase. Both new hires will be based in New York.
Mary Pizzarelli has arrived at American Express Publishing Corp. in New York as vice president/magazine circulation, effective immediately. Melissa Viola has joined Richartz Fliss Clark & Pope in Denville as a senior account executive, consumer division, public relations. She most recently worked at the Sherry Group in Parsippany.
The Sawtooth Group in Woodbridge has promoted Kristi Bridges to the new position of senior vice president, which she will hold in addition to her current post of creative director. She has served as creative director of the agency since 1999. In addition, The Sawtooth Group has promoted Barbara Moran to vice president, management supervisor. She has been an account supervisor at the agency since 1997.
DKB and Partners in Morristown has hired Peter Shea as a public relations account executive; he was most recently an account executive with The Cherenson Group in Livingston, N.J. In addition, Jo Stapleton has been promoted to director of new media services.
