McCann Pair to Monitor N. American Work
NEW YORK--McCann-Erickson has expanded the duties of two of its top New York executives to ensure consistency in its work for global clients across its North American network.
Eric Einhorn, an executive vice president who was strategic planning director in New York, will now have the same role for North America, said Donald Dillon, president of McCann in North America. Einhorn will report to Dillon.
Executive vice president Jonathan Cranin, who was deputy creative director at McCann in New York under chief creative officer Nina DiSesa, will now become executive creative director of McCann North America, overseeing all creative work in the network outside of New York.
Cranin will retain his New York creative assignments and continue to report to DiSesa while answering to Dillon in his North American post. Cranin will also continue his duties on General Motors' Buick business out of Detroit.
"This move is a part of our continuing global orientation to strive for a quality and consistency that is second to none in terms of strategic planning and creative," said Dillon. McCann's proprietary process is known as the "Road Map to Effective Advertising." The agency previously did not have executives ensuring that McCann uses uniform approaches for its global clients, such as Exxon and Nestlƒ, across all its 14 North American offices.
"Jonathan and I have worked closely together with success on some very challenging projects, so we're true advocates of the process," said Einhorn.
